The Republicans are now in a win-win situation regarding Obamacare which is now called the "Edward M. Kennedy Memorial Health Care Reform Act" or nicknamed "ObamaTeddyCare". The Democrat leadership in Congress - cynical as ever - are trying to increase support for their deader-than-a-door-nail Obamacare and are taking advantage of Senator Kennedy's death by renaming this disastrous bill.
George Stephanopoulos, of ABC's Sunday morning talk show, told Laura Ingraham on Bill O'Reilly's show last night that Kennedy's death won't make that much difference in the health care debate. Stephanopoulos said if anything passes this year, it will have to be a scaled-back bill.
The liberals will have to accept a compromise and forget about the government option Stephanopoulos said. The moderate Democrats in Congress - named the "Blue Dog Democrats", who represent some 50 to 60 moderate to conservative congressional districts - know such a compromise health care bill needs to be the final bill which passes or many of them will lose their seats next year... Once and For All, Obamacare Does Fund Abortions
President Barack Obama knows that if his universal health care bill - with the government option - actually does pass Congress against the wishes of a large majority of the American people, including a vast majority of senior citizens, abortion will indeed be funded with American tax dollars.
As "The Washington Times" editorial on Monday said: "President Obama isn't being straight when he says current health care proposals don't provide government funding for abortion. They do. If Democratic plans are passed, your taxes will pay for abortions." The Associated Press on August 5th had a headline "Gov't insurance would allow coverage for abortion." And the "Times" said in response: "There's no wiggle room in that headline."
Once and for all, Obamacare does fund abortions! The president is on very shaky ground considering the American people - by and large - do not yet even know about this fact: Citizens will pay for abortions, even though that is likely an abomination to them; he is trying to pass a universal health care bill in a country which recently tipped over to the pro-life side in the abortion debate. But worse for the president, is the reality that some 70% of the American people do not want their tax dollars to pay for abortions... (Read More)

Capitol Hill Update: Democrat Thugs in Congress Intimidating American Businesses
News broke late last week on Capitol Hill that White House thuggery is being copied by some powerful congressional committee chairmen. "The Washington Times" editorialized that "Government coercion is becoming standard operating procedure in the nation's capitol."
Of course, considering that the most anti-business White House in American history is being populated with some of the most virulent anti-capitalist radicals in America - such as the avowed communist and former convict, Van Jones - maybe the fact that they are infecting their Democrat brethren on Capitol Hill isn't too surprising.
In its editorial on Monday, the "Times" stated that the "Democrats are unhappy that parts of the private insurance industry are opposing the government health care takeover. The reaction is chilling." By September 4th, these insurance companies - according to "The Politico" - "are supposed to supply the government with detailed compensation data for board members and top executives as well as a 'table listing all conferences, retreats, or other events held outside company facilities from January 1, 2007 to the present that were paid for, reimbursed, or subsidized in whole or in part by your company'"... Obama's Thoroughly Discredited Attorney General Goes After the CIA
In an attempt to change the topic from Barack Obama's budget-breaking health care bill, which the overwhelming majority of Americans are repulsed by, Obama's thoroughly discredited Attorney General, Eric Holder, changed the subject to supposed CIA abuse during the Bush administration.
Eric Holder was the guy who actually persuaded Bill Clinton - as one of his final dastardly acts as president in 2001 - to pardon one of the most corrupt individuals in American history, Marc Rich. Rich was indicted on federal charges of illegally making oil deals with Iran, even while America was trying to get our hostages released in the late 1970's. In addition, Rich was indicted on tax evasion. Yet, to its discredit, the Democrat-controlled Senate earlier this year confirmed Holder as attorney general.
Yesterday, Holder decided to appoint a special prosecutor to pursue criminal charges against CIA employees who interrogated some of al Qaeda's worst terrorists, including those affiliated with the mass murder of almost 3,000 Americans in 2001. These interrogations - as confirmed in a report released yesterday - resulted in almost 8 years of freedom from attacks by these vicious Islamist terrorists. Of course, Holder's action to appoint a prosecutor broke yet another one of Obama's campaign promises about not wanting to look back, but wanting to look forward... (Read More)

Capitol Hill Update: Sen. Lieberman Tells Obama and Other Left-wingers to Postpone Obamacare Until After the Recession
Democrat-turned-Independent Senator Joe Lieberman from Connecticut and Al Gore's former running mate in 2000, is urging Barack Obama and his fellow left-wingers to post Obama's socialized medicine bill until after the recession is over. Better yet, he says, Obama needs to incrementally reform America's health care system.
Newsmax said yesterday that "one of the Senate's most powerful Democrats (sic) said Sunday that President Obama should take an 'incremental' approach to fixing health care and argued that the country should postpone adding nearly 50 million new patients to the government system until after the recession is over."
After discussing with CNN's John King the tremendous trillion dollar plus cost of Obamacare, Senator Lieberman said: "I'm afraid we've got to think about putting a lot of that off until the economy's out of recession. There's no reason we have to do it all now, but we do have to get started. And I think the place to start is health delivery reform and insurance market reforms"... (Read More)
