Prayers for Our "Let's Take America Back" Campaign
Linda Blankenship - July 23, 2010 - 2:47pmDear Prayer Partners,
We as Christians must never forget the Lord God and His power to redeem and deliver as we daily see the stability of America degenerating before our very eyes. Our God is alive and hears the prayers of His people. We must never let the fear of man bring a snare to any one of us because our faith is not in man but God Almighty.
Our President Roberta Combs and staff here at the Christian Coalition of America want to encourage you to continue to pray and get involved in the issues facing America and in our campaign "LETS TAKE AMERICA BACK". We need each one of you to help us spread the word to help in our endeavor to save America. We all have a Godly obligation to be involved in our freedoms that we have taken for granted through the years.
Please pray for all elected officials and the upcoming elections, starting in Washington, DC down to our local elected officials. Pray for Christians full of Godly wisdom to be elected.
Pray for Israel and her protection and our military and each family, for safety and blessings, especially for the children of our military families.
Pray for all terrorist to be exposed and dealt with. Pray that all threats to America be uncovered and dismantled.
Pray for the National debt. Please pray the fear of God Almighty fills the hearts of any one that would hurt America or take advantage of us. read more »

Students told to stop praying in front of US Supreme Court
Religious Right... - July 22, 2010 - 11:09amIn another stunning example of just how far things have gone in our country when it comes to government's hostility to religion, a group of students were told by officials to stop praying outside of the US Supreme Court.
The group of 15 Christian school students, there on a trip from Arizona, were confronted by a Supreme Court police officer and told that their praying was against the law.
According to a spokesman with the Alliance Defense Fund, the officer's interruption of their prayer was "abrupt", and
that "they were told to stop praying because they were violating the law and they had to take their prayer elsewhere".
They did. They moved down to the sidewalk and stood in the gutter.
Via Fox News:
The students were part of a junior high
school American History class at Wickenburg Christian Academy in
Arizona. After taking pictures on the steps of the Supreme Court
building, their teacher gathered them to a side location where they
formed a circle and began to pray. ...A spokesperson for the Court said the Marshal of the Court will look into the events alleged by the ADF. read more »
The Lord Will Be a Stronghold
Linda Blankenship - May 11, 2010 - 4:37pm"May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! May he send you help from the sanctuary, and support you from Zion." - Psalms 20:1-2 (NAS)
"The Lord will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble, and those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; For
Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee." - Psalms 9:9-10 (NAS)

Seniors in Georgia told not to pray before federally funded meals
Capitol Notebook - May 10, 2010 - 3:39pmAs incredible (or not) as it may seem, senior citizens at a Georgia rest home have been told by a company that contracts with the city of Port Wentworth that, since the meals they provide are primarily subsidized by the federal government, they should not openly pray before meals.
The result? This past Thursday's meal was preceeded by a "moment of silence" instead. The city's Mayor and City Attorney are trying to find a way out of the problem.
Via the AP:
Mayor Jones said he was outraged by the change and has promised to find a solution.
"It was one of the hardest things I ever did as mayor is to look those people in the eyes and ask them to be patient with me and honor their God in a moment of silence until I can have a resolution to this," Jones said. "For me to look at their eyes and tell them they can't thank God for their food, it's unheard of - I can't take it."
Jones said he flirted with the idea of ending a contract the city has with Senior Citizens Inc.
"Like one lady said, 'You can stop me from speaking, but you can't stop me from praying what's in my heart,"' he said. "But the best answer right now is that we're trying to get the best information possible and legal council is looking at what would happen if we continued to pray." read more »

Observing Our National Day of Prayer
Linda Blankenship - May 3, 2010 - 10:28am"And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him." - 1 John 5:14-15 (NAS)
"... Casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7 (NAS)
"... For he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6a (NAS)
To Our Prayer Partners,
We are now in the season when our nation comes together for a day to storm heaven for America. We are asking each of you to pray and contact your elected officials on Thursday, May 6th.
A United States Federal Judge has ruled our National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. There is a Bipartisan group working to overturn this ruling and we thank the Lord for each of these men and women that are taking a strong stand for prayer.
Our elected officials in DC are considering a new Supreme Court Justice. Please lift this critical appointment up in prayer. Pray for a born again believer and one that takes a strong stand against the abortion issues.
Continue to pray about the health care reform and what is best for our nation and each citizen living in America. Agree with me that the devil cannot rob or steal another thing from the American people. Bind the devil and cast him out and release Godly Holy Spirit favor and blessing on America and each elected official and each citizen in Jesus name. read more »
Support the National Day of Prayer
Religious Right... - April 23, 2010 - 12:45pmRecently, a US Federal Judge made a ruling that would surely surprise our Founding Fathers. She ruled that the "National Day of Prayer" is unconstitutional!
Officially, the current Day of Prayer was instituted by our government in 1952 when it was established by Congress, but the practice stretches all the way back to the 1700's and our Continental Congress. Presidents from George Washington, to Abraham Liconln and even Franklin Roosevelt have recognized it.
And now a liberal judge decides it's unconstitutional!
Of course, you won't be surprised to learn that this ruling is the result of a lawsuit brought by a group of atheists known as the "Freedom From Religion Foundation". No doubt you'll also not be shocked by the fact that the ruling was issued a Democrat appointed judge, in this case Cater appointee Judge Barbara Crabb.
Our dependence on God's mercy has been recognized by our government since before the Founding Fathers even brought our current Constitution into existence, and our country's recognition of that need should not be discarded by a left-wing activist judge.
Currently, a bipartisan group of over twenty US House members have co-sponsored a resolution calling on President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to appeal this decision all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary.
We need to give them our support! read more »
Church Newscast Kids A Hit!
Rev. Austin Miles - March 30, 2010 - 3:19amThere was no big buildup or fanfare. The two young girls simply got behind the news desk and the camera recorded their first appearance delivering news items that had caught their eyes that day, At the beginning of their debut, Amari Chambers, who is a teen-ager, fluffed a word and they both got the giggles, which accidently stayed in when it was posted on YouTube and Tangle.
Audience reaction was immediate. The fluff & giggles moment connected with viewers. The kids were a hit. Amari had never been on camera or in front of an audience. She was shy and was surprised that she had been asked to be on the newscast. Her father, Charles, who drove her to the studio decided to stay and watch, which made her so nervous that she asked if he could come and pick her up later. Interesting, she will be seen by 10 million people but is nervous for her dad to be there in the studio as she does it.
Camilla Spangler is 11 years old and is a natural born performer. Last weekend she won a dance competition in California, an event that went on for two days, and danced off with the first-place Gold Award.
The MVCC Newscast, which already has gained a wide circulation, will soon go to streaming news, then to Christian TV networks. Here's the latest from our Newscast Kids. Click on this link; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWE9DjgLMFw read more »

Military Chaplain Prayer Bill Needed Now More Than Ever
Roberta Combs - November 2, 2009 - 2:26pmThe president signed into law the defense spending bill last week in the White House with the abominable "hate crimes" legislation included in the bill, what many now call "thought crimes" legislation. This law will eventually lead to the prosecution of clergy who speak out against homosexuality from their pulpits if the experience of similar legislation passed in Canada, Sweden and Great Britain is any guide.
The First Amendment free speech rights of chaplains in the United States military has already been restricted. Military chaplains have been harassed and indeed dismissed from military duty because they pray in the name of Jesus. To remedy this terrible problem, it is imperative that the United States Congress pass Congressman Walter Jones' Military Chaplain Prayer bill. read more »
News of the Morning--Students Pray At The Pole
Rev. Austin Miles - September 23, 2009 - 4:55pmThere is no sweeter music in the world than that of a child...of young people praying. Such were the exquisite sounds that filled the air throughout the Oakley, California neighborhood this morning as Trinity Christian School at Mountain View Christian Center took part in the world wide, "See You At The Pole," event where students asked God's help and blessings upon their school, the community and America.
The "See You At The Pole" prayer event which takes place by the flagpoles of almost every school in America on this date, was initiated by students in Texas 20 years ago and quickly spread throughout the United States, Canada and Overseas.
Trinity Principal Linda Miller greeted the crowd. Each grade of the school was represented by one of its students who offered their prayers with loving confidence. Ben Evans, a 10th grader summed up every student's thoughts with his prayer that asked God's blessings upon our school, country, upon service men and women, for our government and for President Barack Obama's guidance.
Opening the event, after an introduction by Principal Miller, your scribe offered this prayer:
'Our most gracious and wonderful Heavenly Father. In the midst of a world in chaos and confusion, we can confidently say, "The joy of the Lord is our strength." I praise thee that twenty years ago, students initiated an annual prayer at the flagpole, which still today, at this time, is faithfully set aside for this purpose. read more »

Pray America - Our God Will Deliver
Linda Blankenship - September 23, 2009 - 1:56pmDear Prayer Partners,
There has never been a more necessary time in American history for us as Christians to seek the face of Almighty God. This is a time of repentance and reflection for each of us. The scripture that I believe will turn America back to God is; 2 Chronicles 7:14 "if my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."KJV Healing Presence.
This is God's answer for our nation. Luke 18:1b "...pray and not to lose heart". NAS. The same God that delivered the Israelites thousands of years ago is still answering the prayers of His people and can deliver America.
Roberta Combs, our president, and her staff are working very hard, seeking our Lord, also praying to call America back to our foundational beliefs. We need each of you daily to join with us in prayer. We must return as a nation to "One Nation under God."
Please help us spread the word to churches, friends, families and associates that the Christian Coalition of America continues to be very active in the political arena and our voice continues to be a powerful force in Washington. Encourage each person to go to our web site, at CC.org, to keep updated on issues, with email addresses and phone numbers to call. Each voice is very important. Our elected officials need to hear from each one of us. This is very critical. read more »
